Frequently asked questions

Is Nano AutoMod free?
Yes. The full AutoMod module is on the free tier. Premium raises limits in other modules, such as the number of auto-responders and starboards.
Will it replace Discord's built-in AutoMod?
It works alongside Discord's built-in AutoMod. Nano adds its own rules, including raid protection and an invite filter with a list of allowed invite codes, and records its timeouts, kicks and bans as moderation cases.
Can I allow-list my staff?
Yes. Every rule takes a list of exempt roles and a list of exempt channels, so staff roles and staff-only channels can be skipped. Exemptions are by role and channel, not per individual member.
Does it log everything?
Every AutoMod action can be posted to a log channel you choose, with the member, the channel, the rule and the message. When a rule times out, kicks or bans a member, Nano also opens a moderation case, and /mod case list shows every case for a member.
How do I set it up?
Invite Nano, then switch on the rules you want from the dashboard or with /settings automod toggle in Discord.
