Frequently asked questions
- What is a Discord starboard?
- A starboard is a channel that collects a server's most popular messages. Members react to a message with a star, and once it reaches the number you set, Nano reposts it to the starboard with a link back to the original.
- Is the starboard free?
- Yes. The starboard is part of Nano's free plan.
- How many reactions does a message need?
- You choose, from 1 to 25. A message is posted once it reaches that count.
- Can I have more than one starboard?
- Yes, with Premium: up to 5, each with its own channel, emoji and threshold. The free plan has 1.
- Can I use an emoji other than a star?
- Yes. Pick any emoji, including one of your server's own, and Nano counts that reaction instead.
- Can members star their own messages?
- Only if you allow it. Self-stars are off by default, and reactions from bots are never counted.
- What happens when stars are removed?
- The count on the starboard post updates, and the post is removed when the message drops below the threshold.
- How do I set it up?
- Invite Nano and open the dashboard. The starboard module picks the channel, the emoji and the threshold.
